Maynard "Gene" Lindquist, age 91, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at his home.

Gene was born in 1932 to Theodore and Margaret Lindquist in Glencoe, MN. He graduated from Greenway high school. He was united in marriage to Lou Ella Kircher on June 28, 1958 in Bagley, MN. They moved and built their home on Pokegama lake and resided there since 1965.  Gene owned and operated Itasca Drywall.  As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Gene served many years as an elder of the Grand Rapids Congregation.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Theodore Lindquist, and Allen "Jerry" Lindquist; and a granddaughter, Natasha Kopkie Burnell. He is survived by his wife, Lou Ella; children, Marc (Karen) Lindquist of Grand Rapids, MN, Cynthia (Jim) Pumphrey of Hastings, MN, and Kimberly (Dan) Kopkie of International Falls, MN; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 35289 Foxtail Lane, Cohasset, MN.  Officiated by Jim McEwen.
