Melissa A Powers , age 55, of Bovey, MN died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at her home.

Melissa was born in 1968 to Francis and Dorothy "Dot" (Johnson) Custard in Superior, WI. She graduated from Hill City High School in 1986. Missy and David Powers were united in marriage on February 22, 2008, and made their home in Bovey. Missy worked as a secretary for T&M Marine.

Missy loved gardening, tending her flower beds, fishing, watching the hummingbirds, camping, and being with her horses. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her best friend, Tonia Stolley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dot. Missy is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Shaunda Carlisle; son, Jamie Charlise; sister, Theresa (Teena) Gulick; and three grandchildren.

A celebration of Missy's life will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 9:00-11:00 AM at Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
