Michael Edward Hurlbut , age 74, passed away on February 21, 2023 at Grand Village, Grand Rapids, MN with his family at his side.

Mike was born to Donald and Lorraine Hurlbut in 1949 in Grand Rapids, MN. He was in the Army and served in the Vietnam war from 1967-1969. He worked several years as a miner at Lindgreenway and Hill Annex Mines. Mike was later employed by Blandin Paper Company. After retirement, Mike could always be found with his kids or grandkids.

He was a great son, brother, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa who will be missed dearly. Mike was also Grandpa Mike to many other children. No matter where he went, he was always the biggest kid there and was loved by all.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Hurlbut, and Loren and Lorraine Moe; son, Michael Hurlbut, Jr.; infant granddaughter, Amilia Rouix; infant stepson, Joshua Crowe; and brothers, Marvin and Douglas Hurlbut.

Mike is survived by his four daughters, Michele Conrad, Angie (Bill) Bell, Amy (Scott) Danley, and Michaelyn (Ryen) Hulrbut; son, Jeremy (Ashlea) Brockway; daughter-in-law, Tia Hurlbut; brother, Kenny (Lisa) Hurlbut; sister, Bonnie Pruett; grandchildren, Sierra Conrad, Emily, and Amanda Bell, Spencer, Alex, and Alyvia Danley, Warren Mclouden, Isabella Hurlbut, Otto Kuusisto, Erik Rouix, Betty Hurlbut, William, Wesley, Alden Brockway; and great grandson, Raymond Bell.

The family will be hosting a service at the VFW, 1212 NW 4 ^th Street, Grand Rapids, MN on March 4, 2023. Visitation will be at 10 am with a service at 11 am. A luncheon will follow.
