Michael Walden, age 60, of Warba, MN, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, at his beloved cabin in Wawina, MN.

Michael was born in 1964 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. He grew up in Robbinsdale and moved to Warba in 2018. Michael was united in marriage to Cathy Jo on June 20, 1998.

He worked on the shipping and receiving docks at a warehouse until 2016.  Michael was a good guy and genuinely good person.  As a child he was a member of the Minnesota Boys Choir, and as an adult he was the lead singer in a band. He had a unique knack for knowing anything and everything about classic 70's rock music.

Michael enjoyed working outdoors and loved spending time at his cabin, his true happy place as he called it. His small immediate family was everything to him, especially his grandson, Christian whom he helped raise; however, he was estranged from most of his family with the exception of his brother, Robert.

Michael is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Joseph Bean; father, Larry; and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Cathy Jo; stepsons, Nathan Johnson (Kim Mcnamara) and Nicholas (Kara) Johnson; grandchildren, Christian, Patrick, and Colton; and mother-in-law, Phyllis Bean.

A celebration of life is being planned for the summer.
