Myrtle Mae Hanson, age 95, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at The Emeralds in Grand Rapids, MN.

Myrtle was born in 1929 to John and Kathryn Happel in Wayne, NE. When she was 11 years old, she moved to Minnesota. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and early release time classes. She was co-owner of Con's Sales and retired after 46 years. She loved the outdoors, especially archery, hunting, fishing, camping, canning, and most of all she loved her family.

Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Conrad; infant daughter, Gay Paulette Hanson; one sister, Dorothy Adam; and brothers, Darel Happel and Bob Happel. She is survived by her daughter, Gail (Gene) Bennett of Grand Rapids, MN; son, Dale (Laurie) Hanson of Cohasset, MN; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, MN followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the church. Dr. Rev. Patrick Lovejoy will officiate. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Cohasset, MN.
