Pam Mallum

Pamela Jean Mallum, age 71, passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 20, 2026.

Pam was born on February 17, 1955, to Bob and Jo Gibeau She spent most of her adult life on Mallum Drive in Bovey, and recently, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of having a house on a lake, creating a special place where she could enjoy the beauty and peace of the water.

Pam’s greatest joy was her family. She devoted much of her life to supporting her children and grandchildren, volunteering for their school activities and always finding ways to be involved in their lives. Her work and life experiences included being a daycare provider, working as a photography assistant, and serving as the CEO of Mallum Hauling, a business she and her husband, Mike, owned and operated together.

Pam will be deeply missed by her sons, Jason (Lynn), Jeremy (Suzette), and Joel (Nichole); and her grandchildren, Morgan (Andrew) Grooms, Riley Mallum, Alanna (Reed Saxhaug) Mallum, Jackson Mallum, and Aiyla Mallum.

She is also survived by her siblings, Colen (Cindy) Gibeau and Jim (Linda) Gibeau; her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Bruce (Cheryl) Mallum and Lynn (Jeff) Liesmaki; her dear friends and “Golden Girls,” Vicky Badavinac, LaDonna Seppala, and Barb Karjala; along with numerous extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Mallum; her parents, Bob and Jo Gibeau; her sister, Roxanne; her nephews, Tim Nelson and Chad Beer; her in-laws, Maurice and Hazel Mallum; and her sister-in-law, Tammy Hewitt.

Pam leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry her love with them. She will be remembered for the love she gave her children and grandchildren, the friendships she treasured, the life she built with Mike, and the many people whose lives she touched along the way.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Lone Pine Townhall, Pengilly, MN followed by a time of sharing and service at 1:00pm. Burial will be at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN
