Paul O. Card, 60, of Warba, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, July 6, surrounded by his family after a long battle with multiple myeloma.

Paul was born on February 14, 1966, in Wells, Minnesota, to Janice (Andrews) Card and the late Robert Card. He married Teresa Drawz on June 13, 1987, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1986 to 2004 as a BM2, serving aboard the USS La Salle and the USS Kitty Hawk. During his life, Paul worked a number of jobs including; Jim's Towing, Casper Construction, and in recent years, Schwartz Excavating and Redi-Mix.

Paul is survived by his wife, Teresa (Drawz) Card; his daughter, Jenna (Max) Madoll; his sons, Michael (Bobbi Jo) Card and Curtis (Chloe Stupar) Card; his granddaughter, Eva Marie Madoll; his god-daugher Lindsey (Trepanier) Nickeson; his mother, Janice (Andrews) Card; his sisters, Carol (Jim) Torkkola, Cindy (Dale) Trepanier, Debbie Maki, and Tammy (Brett) Fankhauser; his brother, Barry Card; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Card; his brother, Duane Card; and his grandparents, Ora and Norma Card and Lyle and Ila Andrews. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Dorinda Card, the wife of his late brother, Duane; and brother-in-law, Larry Maki, the husband of Debbie Maki.

Paul was actively involved in several organizations throughout his life, including the North Star Draft Horse Association, Blackberry Farm Show, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, VFW 48-8, the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion, and St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Paul enjoyed the simple things in life: hunting, fishing, golfing, and riding his motorcycle. He had a passion for horses and especially loved giving sleigh rides around Christmastime. He also enjoyed making maple syrup, which he was always happy to share with family and friends. Some of his favorite memories were made in Bena on Lake Winni, spending time with his brothers-in-law, family, and friends.

Above all, Paul loved his family. Becoming Grandpa to Eva Marie brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment he spent with her. Throughout his life, Paul was especially grateful for Shirley Durant, who held a special place in his heart, and for his cat, Dash, who arrived at just the right time when he needed him most.

He will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his country, and the many friendships he built throughout his life.

A visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 10, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, MN at 11 am with a visitation 1 hour prior. Father Blake Rozier will officiate.
