Rasma "Omie" M. Petersons, went to be the brightest star in the sky on March 23, 2026, surrounded by her three girls – known to her as her Podzina, Lovie, and Bunkie.

Born May 26, 1934, in Latvia, she later made her home in Minneapolis, MN. She married Uldis E. Petersons in 1955 and together they had two children, Raimonds and Sandra.

Rasma, Roz, Omie, Mom are a few names she went by whether you were family by blood or by choice (you all know who you are), as she had a very special impact on all who met her. If you knew her, you loved her.

Beyond all things, Rasma/Omie took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were her world.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Uldis.

Forever loved and missed by her son, Raimonds (Laura) Petersons; daughter, Sandra (Paul) Rasmusson; grandchildren, Melissa (Mike) Jackson, Ashley (Aaron) Swing, Lena (Darrell) Capra, and Brian Lasley; and great-grandchildren, Merrick, Maddox, Brinley, Caleigh, Ava, Preston, Myla, Calvin, and Linus.

The family would like to thank the staff at Grand Village and St. Croix Hospice for their sincere love and care during Rasma's final days.
