Raymond LeRoy Drawz, age 60, of Bovey, MN, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at his home.

Raymond was a familiar and beloved landmark on Highway 38 for 40 years. He was grateful for anyone who honked, waved, or revved their engines as they passed by over the decades. Those small gestures meant the world to him.

Ray's passions were simple and heartfelt. He found great joy in car rides, planes, hardy hellos, live music at the Eagles and the annual family trip to "Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion."

Raymond is survived by his mother, Ardyce; siblings, David (DeeAnn) Drawz, Teresa (Paul) Card, Pamela (Rod) Ketola, and Cheryl (Eric) Strommer; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Robert; brother, Ken; and grandparents, Clifford and Laura Hudson of Goodland, MN, and Cleo and Otto Drawz of Swan River, MN.

Ray's family wishes to express special thanks to Wanda and Natalie Siebert, and Rick Hutchins for the years of care and friendship, and to Tori Johns for providing him with so much joy and laughter.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, MN.  Father Blake Rozier will officiate. Burial and Prayers of Committal will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Goodland, MN.
