Rebekkah "Bekkah" Carole (Ott) Guider , age 47, of St. Paul, MN and formerly of Grand Rapids, MN passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024 after a 9 ½ year battle with cancer. Her brother, Kevin, was at her side and held her in his arms when she left us to meet the Lord.
Rebekkah was born at Eitel Hospital in Minneapolis, MN to Marvin & Mary Ott on February 10, 1977. She graduated from Grand Rapids High School and attended Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN. Bekkah enjoyed choir, piano and violin. She was a Minnesota State 4H Ambassador, participated in Minnesota 4H State Arts-In in St. Paul, and directed Itasca County Arts performances at the Minnesota State Fair. Bekkah was a bright light who always had a smile on her face despite the obstacles she faced. She loved people and especially her family. Her sons, Lee and Jude, were the joy of her heart! She encouraged them in God, music, arts, sports, culture and languages. Her creativity included quilting, cake decorating, theater, painting, flowers, gardening, and jewelry.
Rebekkah was preceded in death by her sister, Krista Joy Ott. She is survived by her husband, Dan Guider; children, Iris, Lila, Lee & Jude; parents, Marvin and Mary Ott; brother, Kevin (Tiffani) Ott; and countless family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Josiah Center (1600 Gervais Ave #2, Maplewood, MN 55109) with a visitation at 10am and a service at 11am.
There will also be a Celebration of Life held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the New Song Church (15 SE 3rd St., Grand Rapids, MN 55744) with a visitation at 10am and a service at 11am. Burial will be at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids.
