Renee L. Harwood, age 65, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2026 at Garden Court Chateau in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

Renee Lynn Harwood was born September 18, 1960 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Judith (Jackson) and Herbert Ehrhorn.  She grew up in Grand Rapids and graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1979.

Following her graduation, she was employed at the Kmart store in Grand Rapids. In 1984, Renee married Randy Harwood and raised their two sons, JayMe and Jessie.  Renee was a hard worker and became a property manager for DWJ in Grand Rapids and lived in the apartment complex she managed. When her sons were old enough to play hockey, Renee became a proud "Hockey Mom" and attended as many games as she possibly could. Renee loved animals – everything from her unique iguana to her pet raccoon to her many, many cats and dogs; and lovingly cared for them all. She loved her cats, most recently, Sprinkles! Renee became a "Harley Davidson passenger!"  Enjoying the sunshine, experiencing the wind, and riding behind the driver all decked out in her Harley gear made for unforgettable days.

Renee will be deeply missed by her sons, JayMe Harwood and Jessie (Bailey) Harwood; one sister, Juanita (Pat) Ewens; great nieces and nephew, Whitney, Teagan, and Dominic; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Judith; one brother, Bing Ehrhorn; and her niece, Shonna Lanning.

A Celebration of Renee's life will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Grand Rapids Eagles Club, 1776 South Pokegama Avenue, Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
