Richard Massaro, age 91, passed away in Rochester, MN on Saturday, November 16, 2024. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife of 67 wonderful years, Nancy Massaro. He will be dearly missed by his children - Tim, Steve (Joni), Andy (Chris) and Liz (John Koehler). His memory, stories and laughter will be cherished by his grandchildren - Carissa, Alex, Amanda, Eric, Suzanna, Tony, Mia and Ashley, as well as 8 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jay and David.

Born in Chicago, IL he attended Millikin University before working as a Presbyterian clergy in Elmhurst, IL, Milwaukee, WI, and Grand Rapids, MN. After obtaining his Doctorate degree in Ministry, he became the Executive Presbyter in Storm Lake, IA. Following retirement, Richard and Nancy spent summers in Grand Rapids and went south for the winter to Rochester, MN, keeping busy with many volunteer positions in each of the towns they called home at the time. He enjoyed reading, woodworking and writing poetry, but his favorite times were spent enjoying the outdoors - especially at the cabin in northern Minnesota.

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 9:00 am at the Community Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids, MN followed by the 10:00 am memorial service. Mary Shideler will officiate.
