Robert L. Witkofsky, age 84, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

Bob was born on August 4, 1940, in Bena, Minnesota, to Julius L. and Hazel V. Witkofsky. He spent his early years in Bena before moving with his family to Grand Rapids in 1955. Bob graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1958 and later earned a degree in Electronic Technology from Dunwoody College of Technology. He went on to work as an electronics technician at the University of Minnesota, where he remained until his retirement. After many years living in Minneapolis, Bob returned to Grand Rapids in 2020.

In his younger years, Bob developed a deep passion for aviation. He was proud to have earned his pilot's license and to own his own airplane. Flying brought him relaxation and enjoyment, and he spent countless hours in the sky. One of his most memorable trips was flying his elderly mother to Tennessee to visit her daughter, Ardelle.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved partner of 32 years, Diane Brown (2020); his sister, Delores Bolka; and his brothers, Warren Witkofsky and Julius W. Witkofsky (March 2025).

He is survived by his sister, Ardelle Langdon; sister-in-law, Frances Witkofsky; nieces Diane Opp, Laurie Wright, and Theresa (Bryan) Major; nephew Lonny (Teresa) Witkofsky; and a very dear friend, Diane Brown's daughter, Laura (Eric) Gieseking.

In honoring Bob's wishes, no formal services will be held. Family and friends are invited to remember Bob by cherishing the good times and special memories shared with him over the years.
