Roger Berry, 78, of Deer River, MN, passed away on September 17, 2024, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
On April 3, 1946, Roger Clinton was born the son of Lyle and Kathleen Berry in Dursley, England. At eight months old they moved to Merrifield, MN. Later the family moved, and Roger was raised in Brigham City, Utah. Roger valiantly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Roger built a life filled with love and family. He shared over 27 joyous years of marriage to his devoted wife, Lynn (Moler) Berry.
Having retired in 2006 from his career at Potlatch-Ainsworth in Grand Rapids, Roger embraced his retirement by indulging in his passions for fishing, hunting, and watching sports. A member of the Deer River V.F.W. Post 2720 and American Legion Post 122.
Roger will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his beloved wife, Lynn; Sons: Michael Kite, Jason (Jessica) Hawker, Eric (Jennifer) Berry, Paul (Autumn) Berry, Adam Berry (Pam); daughters: Kimberly Serich (John), Lisa (Larry) Sutherland; Lynn's children: Lisa (Pat) Phernetton and James Holmstead; sister Arlene Berry Mac Donald; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren whom he adored and with whom he shared his hobbies.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to American Legion Auxiliary unit 122.

There will be an outdoor visitation at 9 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Deer River Pavilion in the Robert A. Lundeen Community Recreation Area on Tamarack Lane, off of Hwy 6, with a 10 a.m. outdoor memorial service to follow. Patty Jo Erven will officiate. Seating is limited so you are welcome to bring chairs.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2024, there will be a lunch at the Deer River Vets Club, 12 1st St. NE in Deer River, MN.
Rest in peace, Roger Clinton Berry. Your legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those who were privileged to share in your life's journey.
