Obituary for Rosalie Terebayza
Rosie Terebayza, 84, of Hill City, MN, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at her home under the compassionate care of hospice and her loving family.
Born on March 22, 1940, on a family farm near Palisade, Minnesota, Rosie was the youngest of seven children, cherished by her parents, Purl and Margaret Ashton. She graduated from Aitken High School. On October 19, 1962, she celebrated her love and commitment to Frank Terebayza Jr. in Minneapolis, beginning a partnership that would endure until his passing on February 11, 2011. Rosie dedicated many years to her work as a forklift operator at Potlatch, where she was respected for her unwavering work ethic.
She found joy in simple pleasures—whether it was gathering with friends at bargo, participating in meat raffles, nurturing her beloved garden, or enjoying motorcycle rides on "The Trike." Each moment woven into her tapestry of life reflects a vibrant spirit and an enduring connection to family and friends.
Rosie is preceded in death by her husband Frank; beloved daughters: Helen and Tracy; parents; and her six siblings.
She leaves behind her sons: Jeff (Stephanie) Terebayza and Michael (Stefanie) Terebayza; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; her bonus granddaughter Skylar; son-in-law Dave Berndt; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be held in the spring of 2025.
The family expresses their profound gratitude to St. Croix Hospice and Jessica Ryan, whose exemplary care guided Rosie through her transition, ensuring her final days were filled with dignity and love. Rosalie Terebayza will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
