Sally
Schedin
d. Nov 15, 2025
Grand Rapids
Sally A. Schedin, age 77, passed away November 15, 2025 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Sally was born December 19, 1947 to Bernice C. (Campbell) and Gerald A. Schedin in Itasca Memorial Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. She attended Murphy Elementary School, Grand Rapids Junior High and Grand Rapids Senior High Schools.
Sally was a student at Itasca Junior College, now Minnesota North College – Itasca Campus but her interest in women's fine clothing and fashion led her to retail sales. Sally was proud of the fact that she could keep name-brand popular women's clothing in stock in all sizes in downtown Grand Rapids. Her last jobs included Top Drawer and St. Paul Clothiers.
Sally can be remembered for her love of Minnesota Sports – especially the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Wild. For the past 25 – 30 years, Sally would go to the movie theatre to see each new movie. She also had an obsession with Elvis Presley; acquiring a memorabilia collection that grew by the years with the gifts from others.
Sally is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Heather Thomton; her grandchildren, Rowan, Jada, and Willow; sisters, Susan Young, Louanne (Marty) Spitzner, and Anita (Roger) Conrad; brother, Tom (Linda) Schedin; in-laws, Kathy Marty and J.H. Young. Sally also has many nieces, nephews, and cousins, friends and business associates from her retail days that will fondly remember her.
She is preceded in death by parents, Gerald and Bernice Schedin; grandparents, Irvin and Ann Stuckslager; brother, Jerry Schedin; and nephew, Ricky Schedin.
Honoring Sally's request, no funeral services will be held.
