Sandra Jean Nygren, age 67, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at her home.

Sandy was born in Stillwater, MN to Herbert and Ella Mae Funke in 1957. She grew up and attended local schools, eventually graduating from Forest Lake High School.

Sandy moved to Grand Rapids, to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

She worked various retail jobs, including Dollar Tree and Walmart. In her free time, Sandy enjoyed going to casinos, playing bingo, camping, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Sandy had a big heart. Everyone that walked into her path was met with open arms and love. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Sandy will be missed by everyone that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gary, Arlen, and Vernon; and stepson Lonnie Nygren. Sandy is survived by her partner of 16 years, Anthony Dippel; daughters, Heidi (Scott) Balen, Amanda Nygren (Kyle LeSarge), and Kelly Annis; grandchildren, Cody Balen, Conner, Haley, and Blake Callahan, Alec "Matt" Nygren, Taylor and Blake Annis; great grandchild, Rayden Annis; her brothers, Roger "Judy" Funke, and Dean Funke; bonus mom, Phyllis Gramenz and her family; and many close extended friends and family.

A visitation will be held at Rowe Funeral Home on Thursday, June 5, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM and lasting until the 3:00 PM memorial service.
