Scott F. Spaulding, age 66, of Deer River, MN, died Friday, November 7, 2025, at Grand Village Nursing Home, Grand Rapids, MN.

Scott was born in 1959 to Richard and Catherine Spaulding in Grand Rapids, MN where he grew up and attended schools. After graduating from Grand Rapids High School, he worked planting trees in several areas across the state. He then worked construction for the local labor unions.

Scott was an eclectic character who loved to tease people. He loved hunting and fishing, but nothing compared to the Minnesota Wild; he was a diehard fan. His friends and family will fondly remember him with his coonskin cap that he wore all the time, thinking of himself as Daniel Boone or Davey Crockett.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elsa; and infant siblings, Richard, Jeffrey, Teri, and Lori.

He is survived by his sons, Ty Spaulding, Kevin Fitzgerald; sisters, Anita Erickson, Joni Spaulding, Linda Loucks, Bekky Spaulding; and brothers, Kent Spaulding and Eric Markgraf.

Keeping in Scott's wishes, no services will be held.
