Deer River

Obituary

Sheri Lynn Harrawood 58, of Deer River MN passed away peacefully Jan. 25th with her children and her brother by her side. Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not. With tearful eyes we watched, as you slowly slipped away, although we loved you dearly, we couldn't make you stay. Your Golden heart stopped beating, your precious soul at rest. In our broken hearts we know, God always takes the best.

Sheri was Born June 28th, 1966, in Kankakee, IL. She attended school at Grant Park high school. Sherri moved to Marcell, MN as a teenager and helped her Grandparents run the Snowshoe Inn. She spent several years in the Bigfork/Marcell area before moving to Deer River, where she worked for Gopher States Expositions for many years. She had a passion for arts and crafts. She loved to color, paint and crochet.  Sheri hosted a crocheting group in the nursing home where she taught other residents how to crochet. She also enjoyed just about any card game someone was willing to play. She would spend several hours a day playing cards with her family and friends, laughing and having a great time. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, and spending time with her children, and close friends. There wasn't a dull moment when she was around, she had a fun sense of sarcasm, she was always joking and "horsing around". She definitely knew how to have a good time. Sheri was a kind and Gentle soul, she was vibrant, fierce and bold, with a playful sense of humor. Her smile was made of sunshine, and her heart was solid gold.

She was greeted in heaven by her mother, Shirley Mitchell and her father, Fred Harrawood; and her brother, Lonnie Harrawood.

Sheri is survived by her 2 children, Bud Bertram and Christina Bertram; brother, Robert Harrawood; sisters, Angela Harrawood, Tammy Harrawood, and Lawanda Shively.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
