Shona A. "Schultz" Zimmerman, age 75, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN.

Shona was born December 28, 1948, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Leslie and Dona (Doree) Adams.  She attended Grand Rapids Schools and graduated with the Class of 1967 from Grand Rapids High School.  Shona went on to earn her associate degree in culinary arts from Hibbing Community College.  It was during her time at Hibbing Community College that Shona met the love of her life, Leo Zimmerman.  They were united in marriage on August 2, 1969, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Cohasset, MN.

Shona was a homemaker and wonderful mother to her three sons.  She also enjoyed her years working as a waitress in the Grand Rapids area.  Shona was a very faithful volunteer with the Salvation Army among other worthy causes.  A very generous, compassionate and giving person, Shona was always eager to give of her time, talent and treasure.  She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas, and traveling with Leo over the years.  At the center of her life was the love she had for her family.  She especially enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leo on October 24, 2010.

Shona is survived by her sons Thomas (Becky) Zimmerman, John Zimmerman, and Chris Zimmerman; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers Fred (Jeanne) Adams, Dale (Gayle) Adams, William (Lupe) Adams; many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 12:00 Noon at Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM.  The Reverend Charles Nelson will officiate.  Private family interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, MN.
