Teresa L.
Carlson
d. May 29, 2025
Grand Rapids
Teresa Lee Carlson passed away peacefully Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the age of 76. Forever missed, she will be by her family and friends.
Born in Rochester, Minnesota, on July 10, 1948. A loving wife to James Carlson of 56 years. Teresa was a devoted mother to Keely, Kyle, Caleb, and Jene (daughter-in-law). Always prioritizing their needs and well- being before her own. She was a beacon of love and kindness, guiding them with wisdom and persistence. She was also a cherished grandmother to Josh, Mahrea, Ava, Mason, and Liam. They will forever carry with them the memories of her unconditional love, unwavering support, and sheer acts of selflessness.
Beyond her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother, Teresa was a para for School District 318 at Forest Lake Elementary School for 34 years. She devoted her life and career to helping kids. She had a wonderful way about her, using little acts of kindness to affect kids, but all of us. There are generations of kids that are now parents themselves whose memories contain those moments of just that. Along with being a para, Teresa also enjoyed arts and crafts, quilting, curling, and spending time at the family farm in Bigfork. She found joy in being highly involved with her family and friends. She had a kind and generous heart, always willing and ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her ability to never give up on anyone, especially kids, was truly remarkable.
Teresa is survived by her husband; younger brother; children; nieces and nephews; grandchildren; and many other loved ones who she had the pleasure of being friends with.
Due to sheer devotion to keeping her family together, they will all forever carry with them the memories they shared with one another. She was a truly, one-of-a-kind person to all who knew her, and for all who knew her, she will be forever remembered.
The family will be holding a celebration of life at the Lawrence Lake Town Hall on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 1 PM to 4 PM. Everyone is welcome to come and share their memories and stories.
