Terry Reed,  68, of Bovey, MN passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026.

He was born on September 4th, 1957, in Clearfield, PA. Terry spent his childhood years in Pennsylvania and Colorado; His family moved to the farm in Lawrence Lake where he spent his teenage years helping on the farm and graduating from Greenway High School.  He later returned to college to receive an education in culinary arts.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, and ride his Harley; he especially enjoyed teaching his kids how to ice fish on Lawrence Lake. One of his favorite things was to share his hunting and fishing shenanigans and he often couldn't resist sharing his work adventures as well. He worked in the mines for 19 years and then spent many years traveling for commercial construction and the railroad. He was a firm believer in "work hard and play harder" and boy did he ever. His greatest pride was his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Charity (Rob) Downs, son, Ryan Reed; his grandchildren, Damien (Caitlyn), TeeJae, Emmett, Ryan & Colter; his sisters, Pam (Dale) Czech, Karen (Phil) Dittbrenner and brother-in-law, Robin Steinbrink along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Barbara Dunlap, his sister Cheryl Steinbrink and son-n-law Ron Garner.

A private graveside service will be held for Terry, followed by a Celebration of Life. Please join us on May 8th between 12:30 and 3:00 p.m. at Lawrence Lake Town Hall (34400 County Road 336, Bovey). We will have a light luncheon and look forward to sharing stories together.
