Theron Keith Best, age 58, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN.

Theron was born in Grand Rapids, MN in 1966 to Kieth and Jeanniene Best. He attended Cohasset and Grand Rapids schools. He started working a variety of jobs until starting with Itasca Utilities, where he worked for 37 years. Theron was united into marriage to Laurieann Peters on August 10, 1984 in Milbanks, SD. He was a hard worker and enjoyed grilling/smoking, gardening, and fishing, but mostly loved working and tinkering on junk. Those close to him remember his hardworking, stubborn, and sarcastic nature.

Theron is preceded in death by his father, Kieth; grandparents; uncle, Lloyd; aunts, Lois and Judy; cousin, Dennis Laney; and lifelong friend, Dennis Adkins.

He is survived by his wife, Laurieann; mother, Jeanniene Best; daughters, Tina (Todd) Burns, Malinda (Nate) Stockwell; son, Skyler (Amanda Richardson) Best; brothers-in-law, George, Robert (Judy), Eugene (Leslie), Tim (Sharon), Wayne (Lynn), Pat (Darlene) Peters; sister-in-law, Carrie Dinsmore; and six grandchildren, Lissalynn and Adrianna Burns, AyvaMay and Duke Stockwell, and Aizen and Renji Best.

A celebration of life will be held 1-4 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Grand Rapids, MN.
