Timothy James Felosi, age 67, of Cohasset, MN, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at his home in Cohasset, MN.

Tim was born in Rochester, MN in 1957 and was later adopted by Eugene (Ed) and Jalene Felosi at the age of four. He attended school in Coleraine, MN and graduated in 1975 from Greenway High School. One of the early passions of his life was playing hockey, which he did throughout his early high school and college years. He was so fond of the sport that one time he even slept in the bathtub with his skates on.

He graduated from Bemidji State University and soon after traveled to Galena, AK where he spent many years teaching shop and mathematics out in the bush. At the same time, he started a perma-frost drilling business, drilling piling holes for homes and businesses in the area. He also completed training for his bush pilot's license and spent many years traveling the state hunting and fishing and indulging friends from all over the beauty of the Alaskan countryside as seen from the sky.

In 1988, Tim decided it was time to further his education, so he returned to Bemidji State University and got his master's in special education. During this time, he met Jolynn and convinced her that life in Alaska was made for her. They were married in 1990, and they were the parents of three children, Jason, Nikita, and Brianna. Tim and family traveled back to Alaska moving to the Kenai peninsula where they enjoyed the bountiful wonders of nature the area provided. Tim continued to teach at the local high school, even becoming the hockey coach for the area.

In 1993, the Felosi family moved back down to Minnesota, where Tim's adventures did not end. He decided that what the area needed was a dinner boat on Pokegama Lake, so he proceeded to build one – measuring 65 feet in length and two stories high. The boat needed a captain, so he, of course, attended the Coast Guard training academy and received his license. Many years were spent on the water with cruises being catered by various restaurants throughout the area. Life still had too many hours in the day for Tim to just sit still, so again, he attended school and received his contractor's license, building many beautiful homes in the area in the ensuring years and even started a gutter installation business.

Tim loved hunting and fishing, spending many hours in the field hunting pheasants with one of the many German shorthairs that the family had over the years. Tim and Jolynn also loved spending time in southwest Florida, where they traveled annually for nearly 20 years, enjoying the sun, surf-fishing, boating and the many fine seafood restaurants that were afforded.

Tim's optimistic outlook on life, his dry-humor and his willingness to help anyone in need, whether friend or stranger, will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him.

Tim will be deeply missed by his wife, Jolynn; children, Jason (Jessica) Felosi, Nikita (Josh) Adler, and Brianna (Nick) Wahl; eight grandchildren, Mason, Bodie, Asher, Alayna, Daulton, Lincoln, Eleanor, and Abram; sister, Gail Hachfeld; and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Jalene Felosi; and aunt and uncle, William and Betty Felosi.

A Celebration of Life will be at 3 PM Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Pickled Loon in Grand Rapids, MN.
