Troy Ernest Mann , age 54, of Deer River, MN, died Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Essentia Health - St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Born in Fairbanks, AK in 1968 to Ernest and Kathrine (Barnes) Mann, Troy graduated from Deer River High School in 1986. He married Christine Miller in 1994 and together they had three sons. Troy fulfilled his dream of owning a restaurant, Troy's Burger and Ice Cream, and later worked for his father at Mann Excavating before taking over ownership. He was a hard-working, business-minded person who loved trinkets and was known as the "best operator in the county". Troy was also a caring and giving person who loved Jesus.

Troy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Mitchell (Jada Tendrup), Nicholas, and Zachary Mann, his sisters Teresa (Michael) Miller, Tammy (Dean) Scherf, and Tina (Dean) Doree, and his nieces and nephews, Natasha (Mitch Endl) and Preston Miller, Brady Geving, Tyler (Dana) and Kody Scherf (Nikki Troumbly), Desiree (Kylee) Craven, Devon and Dalton Doree; numerous aunts, uncles, and other extended family; and best friend, Becky Starr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 12:00-3:00 PM at Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN with a time of sharing at 1:00 PM.
