Velva Jean Butterfield (Burt), 74, of rural Bovey, passed away Saturday October 19, 2024.

Vel was known for her kindness to animals and rescued many in her lifetime. She was a bus driver for ISD 318 for many years and touched many students' lives. Vel also dealt in antiques and helped many antique dealers with their displays. She had an eye for antiques and decorating. Vel loved to line dance with the Country Kickers, and she had a way with words and a wicked sense of humor.

Vel is preceded in death by her beloved brothers; Gary Lynn Burt and Richard Cranium (Edward Burt); her parents, Arnold and Betty (Kluck) Burt. She is survived by her sister Peggy (Jeffery) Volker and brother Marv Burt (Cheryl) their children and grandchildren.
