Vicki Lynn Plate Aultman, age 74, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 23rd, 2026.

Vicki Lynn was born September 5, 1951 in Grand Rapids, MN to William and Darladean (DeHart) Plate. They preceded her in death along with her sister Rebecca.

She was raised and attended school in Grand Rapids until 1968 when her family moved to Fort Collins, CO.

In 1973 Vicki, and her son Tim moved to Willow, Alaska to be close to her family who had moved there earlier in the year.  While living in Alaska Vicki graduated from the University of Alaska with a degree in business management.

Throughout her years working in business management Vicki worked for the State of Alaska Division of Agriculture as Administrative Assistant to the Director. In this capacity she toured agricultural sites in the former Soviet Union with other state officials. She also worked for large construction companies and in corporate banking.

Vicki's talents included knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was also an expert quilter, and displayed many of her beautiful creations in her home. She also shared many quilts that she made with nephews, nieces, grandchildren, friends, and people in need.

After living in Alaska for 25 years Vicki returned the lower 48 to marry Calvin Aultman on March 17, 2001 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. The couple lived in Indiana for a few years before moving to Washburn, Wisconsin where they owned and operated a quilt shop. Vicki not only sold quilting fabric, but also repaired quilts for clients.

Vicki and Cal moved back to Grand Rapids in the fall of 2007 to care for Cal's aging parents. Eventually they purchased a home in the Jacobson area where they continued to live until Vicki's passing.

Vicki had a special relationship with flowers. Her favorites were succulents, but she enjoyed propagating all types of flowers whether indoors or out. Her green thumb knew no bounds.

In addition to growing flowers Vicki also loved her Yorkie dogs. Over the years she raised many and rescued a few along the way. Her three Yorkies Jed, Julie and Ruffles will miss her.

Vicki was active in her church and for the past four years she worked as the church's indispensable secretary. Vicki loved and encouraged many people in her church and beyond. Her greatest desire was to see people accept the Lord Jesus as their savior.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Calvin; son, Timothy (Darlena); stepson, Travis;, stepdaughter, Erin; grandson, Christopherr; granddaughter, Celina; great-grandson, Booker; three brothers, Dale (Barbara), Ronald (Winnie), and Richard (Jean); many nephews, nieces, cousins and loving friends.
