Vondra Elaine Williams, age 81, formerly of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly, IA.

Vondra was born December 20, 1944, in Shevlin, Minnesota to Sigvart and Iona (Iverson) Syverson. She graduated with the Class of 1963 from Bemidji High School and went on to attend Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, MN.

On July 16th, 1969 she was united in marriage to Ray Odin Williams. They resided in Keewatin, MN. Later moving to Grand Rapids, MN where they raised their two children Ray and Renee. Over the years Vondra worked for various businesses in the Grand Rapids area including Ace Hardware, Kremer's Ben Franklin and J.C. Penney where she retired from. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, sports, spending time with the grandkids and traveling with Ray after he retired. Vondra volunteered her time with the Grand Rapid's Area Library, AARP Tax Aid, and the census.

Vondra is survived by her two children Ray (Sandra) Williams of Duluth, MN, and Renee (Michael) Paige of Waterloo, IA; four grandchildren Jake (Marisa), Jared, Andrew, and Haley (Mike), three great grandchildren Weston, Ella, and Beau. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ray in 2022; siblings Darrell, Vernon, Marlys, Lucille, Roberta Jean, Myron, Wendy, and Mona. In accordance with Vondra's wishes, private family services will be held.
