Wendy Sue (Sandmoen) Prince , age 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 15, 2023 after a long, courageous battle with colorectal cancer.

Wendy was born on April 17, 1964 to Ron and Shirley Sandmoen in Grand Rapids, MN. Wendy graduated from Grand Rapids High School. Wendy was a shining light to many people and her smile could brighten the darkest of days.

The thing that made Wendy smile the most was hearing and seeing her grandbabies laugh and play. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was known to drop everything to help her girls. She had a generous soul and would always help someone in need.

Wendy was passionate about painting and sewing. Her personality was always shown in her paintings. She enjoyed many things in life including road trips with her girls, concerts with her friends, and just sitting around visiting and drinking coffee.

Wendy is survived by her dad, Ronald Sandmoen; sister, Wanda Horner; 3 girls: Nicole (Darren) Wischstadt, Rebecca (Jesse) Nelson, and Bobbi (Nathan) Grant; son, William (Sherry) Paulson; and 10 grandkids: Emilie, Cassie, Cheyanne, David, Audri, Atticus, Maximus, Isabella, Franklin, and Atreus (Due in November).

Wendy's Celebration of Life will be held at the Pokegama Dam Pavilion on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM.
