William "Bill, Red, Buck" F. Figgins, age 86, of Warba, MN died Friday, July 14, 2023, at Grand Village Assisted Living, Grand Rapids, MN.

Bill was born on October 11, 1936 to William and Marion (Grossell) Figgins in Grand Rapids, MN where he grew up and attended school. Bill enlisted in the United States Marines Corp and served during the Korean Conflict. On June 13, 1959, Bill was united in marriage to Catherine "Cathy with a C" Diane Glaser in Grand Rapids where they made their home and raised their family. In 1998, Bill and Cathy "retired" to their summer home on Shallow Lake, Warba MN and their winter home on Fort Myers Beach, FL.

Early on, Bill owned and operated the Mobile station (Grand Rapids) and obtained his real estate license. Throughout the years, he owned and operated various businesses in the Grand Rapids area. He was proud to have provided employment to a number of individuals during his lifetime.

Bill worked hard and played hard. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Warba and St. Peter's Lutheran Church Fort Myers Beach. Bill also held lifetime memberships to the Moose, Eagles, American Legion, and VFW. He and Cathy enjoyed spending winters in Florida and time with family and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cathy; two brothers, Vern Figgins and Marvin Figgins; sister Margaret "Midge" Thomas; son-in-law Scott Paine; brothers-in-law, John Clark, Norman Thomas and Leon Hodgson, John Glaser and Ron Glaser. He is survived by his daughters, Kaija (Wade) Helmbrecht, Andrea Stephens, Boonie Paine; son, Patrick Figgins; sisters, Karen Clark and Vicki Hodgson; brother Mark (Laurie) Figgins; sisters-in-law, Eleanore Figgins and Darlene Figgins. Two granddaughters, Brittney (Alex) Schoephoerster and Meghan Helmbrecht; three great grandchildren, Lincoln, Griffin, and Sylvia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30 on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN. Rev. Mark Wagner will officiate. Lunch to follow at the Grand Rapids Moose Club. Memorials are preferred to a charity of the donor's choice.
