LEWIS PRESTON NELSON, age 62 of Duluth, MN, formerly of Remer, MN, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at TBI Home in Duluth, MN. Lewis was born in 1951 to John and Ellen Nelson in Grand Rapids, MN and he grew up and attended schools in Remer, MN. Lewis cooked for several years at various restaurants in the area. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, Ann Marie Nelson; brothers, John Nelson and Marvin Nelson; sisters, Jeannette Hall and Anna Cockman.

Lewis is survived by his brothers, Charles (Elaine) Nelson of Remer, MN, Steven (Ruth) Nelson of Richland, WA, and Gene (Ty) Nelson of Grand Rapids, MN; sister, Fern (Kevin) Hanson of Melrose, MN; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, December 27th from 12:00 PM Noon until the 1:00 PM Funeral Service, at Remer Congregational Church. Rev. Bruce Pound will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in Fairview Cemetery in Remer.
